2431 - Norridgewock, Maine, USA

Norridgewock is a small town of just under 3400 people, on the Kennebec River. New France defined the border of New England and Acadia as the Kennebec River.

Rebecca's card is of the Portland Head Light, on C
ape Elizabeth. The lighthouse sits on the land at the entrance of the primary shipping channel into Portland Harbor. It was completed in 1791 and is the oldest lighthouse in Maine. The lighthouse is automated today and maintained by the US Coast Guard. It was George Washington who order the lighthouse built. 

The lighthouse is listed as a US National Register of Historic Places in 1973. It was first lit in 1791; automated in 1989, and sits at 31 meters in height. The light has a range of 44 km.

The Mob Museum, officially known as the National Museum of Organized Crime and Law Enforcement, is located in downtown Las Vegas. It open in 2012. 2346 - Iwate, Iwate, Japan

Keita is a junior high science teacher in Iwate  岩手町. He sent me a photo of the Tokyo Sky Tower during a fireworks display. The Tokyo Sky Tower is a broadcasting and observation tower in Simide, a special ward in the Tokyo Metropolis. It became the tallest structure in Japan in 2010. In 2011, when it was completed at a height of 634 meters, it became the tallest tower in the world, and the second tallest structure in the world, after Burj Khalifa in Dubai, UAE.
