The sender is from Mishima  三島市 , a city of about 110 000 people located in eastern Shizuoka.  Mishima is a major industrial centre in Shizuoka and located in the foothills of Mount Fuji. One of its famous local attractions in Mishima Taisha  三嶋大社. This is a Shinto shrine. The main festival of the shrine is held on August 16 and features Yabusame  流鏑馬  - mounted archery. Yabusame features a an archer on a running horse and they shoot three special "turnip-headed" arrows in succession at three wooden targets.
