The sender is from Zossen , just south of Berlin , but was vacationing on Rügen , the largest island in northeastern Germany . Rügen is a popular tourist destination, known for its distinctive resort architecture, diverse landscapes, and long sandy beaches. It attracts many outdoor enthusiasts, particularly windsurfers, kite surfers , and surfers. Cycling is also very popular, with a circular path that runs around the entire island. Even local buses are equipped with bicycle carriers, making it easy to explore the island on two wheels.

Veenendaal is located in central Netherlands and has a population of about 69 000 people. It was founded in the mid 1500s as a peat colony. Veen  is the Dutch word for fed and daal  is Dale.  Veenendaal as adapted to cycling and has a vast network on cycling paths which makes it very convenient for people to get around. Twice - in 2000 and 2020 - Veenendaal was chosen as Fietsstad of the Year - an award that recognizes the top city for cycling in the Netherlands. 

Cobbenrode is a small village in central Germany. The sender says there are a lot of mountains and forests that surround the village. Deer and squirrels are plentiful! Cobbenrode is in an area known as the Sauerland. The Sauerland is North Rhine-Westphalia's largest tourist region as there are many summer persuits that take place there such as mountain biking water sports, cycling, and scenic recreation. Sauerland and Skiliftkarussell are also major winter sport destinations.

It is believed that Bruges is an Old Dutch word for bridge.  Cycling is a popular way to get around Bruges. However, no part of Bruges is car free. Car are required to yield to cyclists and there are plans to ban cars from the historic centre of Bruges.
