The sender mailed a wonderful card of the late Bob Ross (1942-1995), an American painter and art instructor. He hosted The Joy of Painting  from 1983 to 1994 on PBS (Public Broadcasting Service) in the United States and on CBC (Canadian Broadcasting Corporation) in Canada. The Joy of Painting  featured Ross instructing viewers on how to create landscape using the quick, wet-on-wet oil painting technique with a limited palette.  This technique required a small investment in supplies needed by the home viewer. "Happy little trees" became one of his famous lines.  The sender is also Indigenous and commented that was impressed that I had a land acknowledgement in my biography.
