Rüsselsheim am Main is a city of 66 000 people. It is located on the Main River, thus the name  Rüsselsheim on the Main.  Rüsselsheim am Main is home to  Rüsselsheim Ruder-Klub 08 (RRK 08), a sports club that started as a rowing club, but the main sport has been (field) hockey since the late 1960s. Tennis is another sport offered at the club. Fifteen members of the club are Olympic medallists in field hockey.
