This is a State Postal Bureau for the 2008 Beijing Olympics. It was the first time China hosted the Olympic Games. There were almost 11 000 athletes from 204 National Olympic Committees, competing in 28 sports and 302 events. Beijing beat out Toronto, Paris, Istanbul, and Osaka, winning in the second round of voting.  The 2026 Winter Olympics in Italy are on as I write this and we just won our first gold medal -  Mikaël  Kingsbury - in men's dual moguls. It was his second medal in these Olympics after winning a silver earlier on.  Canada sent 332 athletes in 25 sports, and were the seventh largest team. Adam van Koeverden was the flag bearer at the opening ceremonies, while Karen Cockburn was the flag bearer at the closing ceremonies.
