The sender say they don't have ice hockey in Arkansas, "but we have the Razorbacks Football!" However, the University of Arkansas does have men's hockey team. They play in the American Collegiate Hockey Association (ACHA) in the Division II and Division III.  Professionally, there have been a couple of attempts to get hockey going. The Arkansas GlacierCats played in the now defunct Western Professional Hockey League. It would have been the third level of professional hockey in North America. The WPHL merged with the Central Hockey League in 2000-01, which folded in 2014.  The GlacierCats played in Little Rock for two seasons (1998-99 - 1999-2000). They were popular their first season but in 2000 they had to suspend operations due to competition by the other professional team, Arkansas RiverBlades, who played in the East Coast Hockey League. They also played in Little Rock. They operated from 1999 - 2003.
