The sender is from Padua , a city of about 210,000 people located roughly 40 kilometres west of Venice . However, the postcard itself is from Zaragoza , and features a street view of the Cathedral-Basilica of Our Lady of the Pillar (Catedral-Basílica de Nuestra Señora del Pilar). Construction of the basilica began in 1681 and continued over several centuries, with completion finally achieved in 1961.
