It is also a card that includes postage on it.  Matsuyama  松山市  is the capital city of Ehime Prefecture  愛媛県  and has about 505 000 people. It is located on the island of Shikou  四国.  Ehime FC  愛媛フットボールクラブ  is Matsuyama's representative in the J League. They compete in the third division, or J3 League. In 2023, they finished first in the league and will play in J2 in 2024. The club was formed in 1970 as the Matsuyama Soccer Club. It was renamed Ehime FC in 1995. For years they competed at the regional and prefecture level as there was already another Matsuyama team competing in the J League. The club was promoted to the J League in 2003, playing in the Japan Football League, the fourth tier of Japanese football. Matsuyama  松山市  is the largest city of the Ehime Prefecture  愛媛県  with 506 000 people. It faces Seto Inland Sea to the north, the mountains of the Takanawa Peninsula to the north and east, and the Saragamine Mountain Range to the south. It is located on the northeastern portion of the  Dōgo Plain. The photo on the card pictures  Tōdai-ji  東大寺 "Eastern Great Temple." It was once the most powerful of the Seven Great Temples, and is located in the city of Nara. It was founded in 738, but not opened until 752. It has undergone several reconstructions in more than 1200 years, the lates was in 1709. It's Great Buddha Hall  大仏殿  houses the world's largest bronze statue of the Buddha Vairocana (Daibutsu  大仏  in Japanese). It is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
