It is a popular tourist location as it is believed to be the birthplace of Aphrodite. Limassol  Λεμεσός   has ancient roots. Graves from 4000 years ago have been found. Today it is a city of 108 000 people. Tourism is a huge part of Limassol's economy. There are many beaches for sunbathing and swimming in the area.
