Corralejo is a town and resort located on the northern tip of Fuerteventura, one of the Canary Islands. Itt has a large ex-pat population of Spainards, Italians, Irish, Brits, Germans, and Finns.  Corralejo was mostly a fishing village for much of its history. Tourism that dominated Fuerteventura in the south in the 1960s begane arriving to the north in the 1970s. Tourism developed in the town in the 80s and 90s and reached a peak in the 2000s.

4160 - Munich, Bavaria, Germany

This vintage (?) card comes from Munich but shows Acantilados de Los Gigantes (Cliffs of the Giants) along the coast of Tenerife, the largest island of the Canary Islands. They are basaltic geological features and are 500 metres in some places. The Indigenous people of Tenerife called the Muralla del Infierno (Wall of Hell).  The photo also features the town of Los Gigantes, which was developed in the 1960s with British investment. It is a tourist resort and features black sand beaches, a marina, and a natural pool.

3940 - Chișinău, Moldova

Chișinău is the largest and capital city of Moldova. It was founded in 1436 as a monastery village. At the beginning of the 19th century there were about 7000 living here. Today there are about 720 000 people.  The card comes from the Canary Islands. Maybe the sender visited there. It doesn't say. The sender is from Kyiv, Ukraine, and was displaced due to the Russian Invasion of Ukraine. Her biography on Postcrossing thanks the people of  Chișinău for the warm welcome they received and continue to receive. They know have a permanent house to call home. I hope one day she can return to her home in Kyiv.
