The sender bought this card after a three week trip to Germany. When he isn't travelling, he is from Box Elder, which is close to the Black Hills and Mount Rushmore. Box Elder is home to Ellsworth Air Force Base, which is home to the 28th Bomb Wing, a part of the Global Strike Command's Eighth Air Force. There are 8000 military members, their families, and civilian employees that work on the base.  Ellsworth AFB is named after Brigadier General Richard E Ellsworth (1911-1953). He was the 28th Strategic Reconnaissance Wing commander. He was killed when his RB-36 Peacemaker aircraft crashed near Burgoyens Cove, Newfoundland, during a training flight.
