2484 - Mogilev, Belarus

Mogilev is Belarus' third largest city with a population of 360 000. It was first mentioned in 1267 when it was a part of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania. During the Second World War the city was occupied by Wehrmacht forces in 1941 until 1944. It became the official residence of High SS and Police Leader Erich von dem Bach. After the city was liberated by the Red Army it became a site for German prisoners-of-war.

HK Mogilev was formed in 2000 and joined the Belarusian Extraleague. It has never won the league championship.

Valetin's card is from the IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship in Minsk. It was the first the first time it was held in an independent Belarus. There were concerns holding here as the authoritarian government were known to be human rights abusers. In the tournament, France upset Canada for the second time in their history and advanced to the quarterfinals.  Russian won the gold, with Finland taking silver, and Sweden took the bronze over the Czech Republic.
