Kimberly mentions a television show from the 1970s called the Medicine Hat Stallion starring then teen heartthrob, Leif Garrett. The Medicine Hat Stallion was actually a made for television movie from November 1977. It takes place in pre-Civil War Nebraska Territory with a 15 year old son and his father, mother, and Grandma Lundy. His father treats him poorly as he is unhappy with his life at their prairie trading post. Garrett's character raises a foal that was left at the trading post in lieu of payment of goods. When the horse becomes old enough, Garrett's character and the horse earn a job with the Pony Express. It is through this tough job that Garrett's character earns the respect of his father.

The movie was based on the novel San Domingo, The Medicine Hat Stallion by Marguerite Henry. It was a Newberry Medal winning book.

The Mob Museum, officially known as the National Museum of Organized Crime and Law Enforcement, is located in downtown Las Vegas. It open in 2012. Keita is a junior high science teacher in Iwate  岩手町. He sent me a photo of the Tokyo Sky Tower during a fireworks display. The Tokyo Sky Tower is a broadcasting and observation tower in Simide, a special ward in the Tokyo Metropolis. It became the tallest structure in Japan in 2010. In 2011, when it was completed at a height of 634 meters, it became the tallest tower in the world, and the second tallest structure in the world, after Burj Khalifa in Dubai, UAE.
