Lorain is a city of 65 000 people and is located on the shores of Lake Erie at the mouth of the Black River. It's about 40 km west of Cleveland and is a part of the Greater Cleveland Metropolitan Area. 

American author, Toni Morrison (1931 - 2019), born in Lorain, set her first novel The Bluest Eyes in Lorain. The novel, published in 1970, is a about a young African-American girl named Pecola. She is constantly regarded to as ugly and as a result develops an inferiority complex where she dreams of having blue eyes. The novel is set in 1941.

There have been numerous attempts to ban the novel from schools and libraries in the United States. The Bluest Eyes have topics of racism, incest, and child molestation in it. 

Toni Morrison has numerous accolades, including the Presidential Medal of Freedom, presented to her by President Barrack Obama in 2012.

The Mob Museum, officially known as the National Museum of Organized Crime and Law Enforcement, is located in downtown Las Vegas. It open in 2012. Keita is a junior high science teacher in Iwate  岩手町. He sent me a photo of the Tokyo Sky Tower during a fireworks display. The Tokyo Sky Tower is a broadcasting and observation tower in Simide, a special ward in the Tokyo Metropolis. It became the tallest structure in Japan in 2010. In 2011, when it was completed at a height of 634 meters, it became the tallest tower in the world, and the second tallest structure in the world, after Burj Khalifa in Dubai, UAE.
