A beautiful card of Lalu Island on Sun Moon Lake 日月潭. Sun Moon Lake is the largest body of fresh water in Taiwan. The area around the lake in inhabitated by one of Taiwan's indigenous groups, the Thao 邵.
The Thao number around 800 people these days. Though they have been assimilated into the largest Taiwanese culture, they have still retained their customs, beliefs, and traditional
culture and language. Most members of the Thao work in the tourist industry around Sun Moon Lake.
