Grand Haven is a city of 11 000 people in south west Michigan, on the shore of Lake Michigan. The sender says the lighthouse on the front of the card is "just up toe road" from her.
The lighthouse is the Grand Haven South Pierhead Entrance Light, one of two lighthouses on the south pier of Grand Haven. It is here where the Grand River enters Lake Michigan. It was first lit in 1839. The City of Grand Haven owns the lighthouse, but the Army Corps of Engineers maintains it.
In the senders biography she states she had some medical issue that required her to be bedridden for three years. She said there little chance she would get better. However, she did and shares a talk she gave about her experience so I thought I would share it with you, too: https://youtu.be/D6uLxoMp0b8 Her website is https://www.rhondarobinson.net/
