A great 3-D card from Cyprus. This one shows a photo of Romio's Rock. Romio's Rock, is also known as Aphrodite's Rock. It is located off the shore of the main road between Paphos and Limassol. It is a popular tourist location as it is believed to be the birthplace of Aphrodite. Limassol  Λεμεσός   has ancient roots. Graves from 4000 years ago have been found. Today it is a city of 108 000 people. Tourism is a huge part of Limassol's economy. There are many beaches for sunbathing and swimming in the area. 

The sender is a doctor originally from central Florida, but lives in Charleston. I am assuming she is a doctor now as she mentions she was a soprano in an a capella group throughout medical school.  The photo is of Raymond James Stadium (nicknamed "Ray Jay"), home of the National Football League's Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and the University of South Florida Bulls football team. Raymond James is the name of Raymond James Financial, the holder of the naming rights for the stadium. They hold that right until 2028.  It was finished in 1998 and used public money to build it at a cost of $168.5 million ($303 million in 2022). It can seat almost 70 000 spectators, but can be expanded to 75 000 people. The stadium's record attendance in 74 512 people who came to watch the College Football Playoff National Championship Game in 2017 between the Clemson Tigers and Alabama Crimson Tide. On this card are Daruma dolls  達磨.  They are modelled after Bodhidharma, the founder of the Zen sect of Buddhism. Daruma dolls are seen as a symbol of perseverance, good luck, and encouragement.  Daruma dolls are hollow and round, usually red and depict the Indian monk Bodhidharma. They are popular gift to give to someone for encouragement. 

The sender lives in Bangkok, but sometimes lives in Ayutthaya. In Ayutthaya is Wat Chaiwatthanaram  วัดไชยวัฒนาราม  a Buddhist temple on the west bank of the Chao Phraya River, and is depicted on this card. It is a major tourist attraction.  Wat Chaiwatthanaram was built in 1630 by King Prasat Thong, as a memorial to his mother. In English it translates to the temple of the long reign and glorious era.  It has a central prang, or spire, that is 35 meters high, with four smaller prangs. The Wat Chaiwatthanaram structure reflects the Buddhist world view, as it is described already in the Traiphum Phra Ruang, the "three worlds of the King Ruang", of the 14th century: t he big "Prang Prathan" that stands in the centre symbolizes the mountain Meru (Thai: เขาพระสุเมรุ - Khao Phra Sumen), which consists the central axis of the traditional world (Kamaphum - กามภูมิ). What a beautiful Lunar New Year Card 2020 card (even though it was sent in 2023). 2020 was the Year of the Mouse, or Rat. This is a part of the 12-year cycle of animals which appear in the Chinese zodiac. The first Year of the Rat/Mouse was in 2637 BCE. Like all the animals of the Chinese zodiac calendar, there are lucky numbers, lucky colours, and special romantic connections.  Lucky numbers are 2, 3, 6, 8, and people born in this year are to avoid the numbers 4, 5, 9. Gold, blue, and green are lucky colours, while yellow and brown are considered unlucky. The lily, and all species of lilies, are considered lucky.
