Bangalore (Bengaluru) is the capital city and largest city in the Indian state of Karnataka with almost 8.5 million people. It was established in 1537 by Kempe Gowda I.
Kempe Gowda I (Nadaprabhu Kempe Gowda) was a governor under the Vijayanagara Empire. He ruled as governor for 46 years. His tomb was accidentally re-discovered in March 2015 by Prashanth Marur, an amateur historian. Professional historians authenticated the discovery. It is believed the tomb was built by Kempe Gowda II.
