Huajuapan de León is a city of almost 80 000 located in southern Mexico. It is famous for being the home of Catedral de Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe (Cathedral of Our Lady of Guadalupe). The church is dedicated to the Virgin of Guadalupe. It was built near the end of the 17th century. Various extensions and modification were made throughout the 19th century. It's been the headquarters of the Diocese of Huajuapan de Leon since 1903.
