3867 - Helmstedt, Lower Saxony, Germany

The sender is a 1.FC Magdeburg supporter. They play in the 2.Bundesliga, the second tier of German football. They were founded in 1965 in East Germany and played in the DDR-Oberliga - the top tier of East German football. they won the league championship three times, and won seven cup titles. They also won the European Cup Winners' Cup in 1974, the only time an East German club won a European trophy.

When East and West Germany reunified, Magdeburg fell on hard times but returned to professional football in 2015 with a promotion to the 3.Liga. In 2018 they made the 2.Bundesliga and have remained since.

The postcard features Thomas Müller, who has nothing to do with 1.FC Magdeburg. He plays for Bayern Munich in the Bundesliga. He also has 131 international appearances (caps) with Germany from 2010-2024. At the 2010 FIFA World Cup, Müller won the Best Young Player Award and won the Golden Boot as the tournament's top scorer (5 goals in 6 games). At the 2014 FIFA World Cup, of which Germany won, Müller won the Silver Ball as the tournament's second best player and the Silver Boot as the second top goalscorer. He retired from international football after the EUFA Euro 2024. At the time he was the most decorated German footballer with 27 trophies. He has since been surpassed by Toni Kroos.

3584 - Blaine, Minnesota, United States of America

The sender was in Las Vegas recently and bought this card from The Mob Museum. The Mob Museum, officially known as the National Museum of Organized Crime and Law Enforcement, is located in downtown Las Vegas. It open in 2012. It features artifacts, stories, and the history of organized crime in the United States, but also the actions and initiatives by law enforcement to prevent such crimes.  The museum is found at the former Las Vegas Post Office and Courthouse, which was built in 1933.  The quote on this card was from John Gotti. 3566 - Bakhmach, Chernihiv, Ukraine

Bakhmach is locarted in northern Ukraine. I'm taking this next paragraph straight out of Wikipedia: During the  Russian invasion of Ukraine  on February 26, 2022, at least 65 units of Russian military equipment moved through Bakhmach, with about a hundred more on the outskirts. Local residents tried to stop the convoy on their own by blocking tank tracks with makeshift objects and convincing Russian soldiers not to move towards  Kyiv . One man attempted to climb onto a tank and block the road with his body (he was not hurt). However, the military equipment continued to move, and Russian forces fired several shots into the air. Слава Україні!
