Beautiful card of the Oregon coast. My parents have travelled up and down the Oregon coast a couple of times and always rave about it.
Pendleton is not found on the Oregon coast, but in the north east of Oregon. It has a population of just over 17 000 and includes prisoners housed as the Eastern Oregon Correctional Institution.
Pendleton's economy is reliant on lower wage hospitality industry jobs with the growth of the Wildhorse Resort and Casino. One in five jobs are in the "Accommodation and Food Services" industry.
Eastern Oregon Correctional Institution is one of 14 state prisons in Oregon. It was originally created in 1912 as a hospital for long-term mental health patients. It was converted to a men's medium security prison in 1983.
