3099 - Munich, Bavaria, Germany

Manuel Neuer is the goalkeeper and captain for Bayern Munich and the German national team. He was named best goalkeeper of the decade from 2011-2020 by the International Federation of Football History and Statistics.

Neuer started his professional career with Schalke 04 II (reserve team) from 2004-2008, and Schalke 04 from 2006-2011. He made 156 appearances for Schalke 04. In 2011 he signed a five year contract with Bayern Munich. Supporters of Bayern were unhappy with Bayern signing a Schalke goalkeeper. Neuer would win them over by breaking Bayern's record for clean sheets and going over 1000 minutes without conceding a goal.

Neuer was the keeper in the 2014 final of the FIFA World Cup in South Africa. Germany won their fourth World Cup with a 1-0 win over Argentina. Mario Götze scored in the 113' of the game. Extra time is not sudden death, or a "golden goal" so they game continued. Lionel Messi had a chance late in the game, but his shot sailed over the crossbar.

After ordering the killing of Gambino boss Paul Catellano in 1985, he took over the family and led what was the United States' most powerful crime syndicate. He was known as The Teflon Don  after three high profile trials in the 1980s resulted in acquittals.
