Ellen lives in Bühl, which is a village in the municipality of Klettgau, located near the Swiss border. Bühl was incorporated in the municipality if 1975.
Ellen's card says "Schwarzwaldimpressionen," which means Black Forest photos. The Black Forest is a large forested mountain range in south west Germany. It is the source of the Danube and Neckar Rivers. The highest peak is the Feldberg at just under 1500 m. Traditionally the areas main economic activity was forestry and mining, however tourism is now the main economic activity with over 300 000 jobs accounted for.
