Koblenz was established as a Roman military post in 8 BCE. The city celebrated 2000 years in 1992. There are 114 000 people that live the banks of the Rhine and Moselle.
In Koblenz you will find the Kurfürstliches Schloss (Electoral Palace). It was the residence of the last Archbishop and Elector of Trier,
Clemens Wenceslaus of Saxony (1739-1812). It was built in the mid 1700s. Today it houses several office of the federal government.
