The sender is from Bamberg, a city of almost 80 000 people located on the river Regnitz. It dates back to the 9th century. It is called one of Germany's most beautiful towns, with medieval streets and buildings, the old town of Bamberg, with around 2400 timber houses, has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1993.
Bamberg extends over seven hills, each hill is crowned by a church. Bamberg is called the Franconian Rome, although Bamberg tour guides refer to Rome as the Italian Bamberg.
