Pretty card. I thought this was a photograph but it is landscape painting by Russian Ivan Shishkin Иван Шишкин (1832-1898) entitled Old Fallen Trees. Forest Cemetery, 1893.
Shishkin was born in Yelabuga in 1832. He attended the Moscow School of Painting, Sculpture, and Architecture and the Imperial Academy of Arts.
He was a part of the realism movement and a member of the Peredvizhniki, a group of Russian realist artists who formed an artists' cooperative in protest of academic restrictions. It evoled into the Society for Travelling Art Exhibitions (Peredvizhniki).
Shishkin painted The Pine Grove in 1898. He had a fatal heart attack is Saint Petersburg while sitting at his easel in front of said painting.
